The Southington Nardelli’s first opened in 2013. This location which is well known for its Italian Combo amongst other very popular sandwiches also a variety of other delicious items as well including soups, salads, desserts, and pasta dishes. Nardelli’s is not your typical sandwich shop. It prides itself on offering a wide selection of food items, so there is something for every customer!
This location is conveniently located in the heart of Southington, Connecticut and in close proximity to other shops in the town, so you do not have to go out of your way to enjoy a delicious meal. It also has outdoor seating for those warm summer days!
The Southington Nardelli’s enjoys getting involved in the community with local charities, programs at the YMCA, and even makes donations to the breast cancer foundation. Michael is the proud manager and owner of the Southington Nardelli’s location. He grew up in Connecticut with his family, and has planted his roots in this state ever since. He brings his leadership qualities, community-oriented background, and passionate attitude to the store every day.
As a part of the Nardelli’s team, Michael, is always learning new ways to cater to his customer’s needs and provide fresh quality meals. While running this store Michael has learned management skills, leadership, and most importantly how to maintain community relationships. In fact, Michael loves seeing new faces stop in at the shop. After reading about Nardelli’s in CT Magazine we had to eat there. We immediately realized why Nardelli’s has won the Best Grinder in the state so many years. The food is simply delicious… it tastes as if made with love and pride. Their special sauce is fresh and tasty and you can’t find it anywhere. The staff is friendly and warm and makes you feel part of the family. The ambiance is clean and comfortable… it feels just like home. We moved away from Connecticut some years ago and whenever we go back we always have to visit Nardelli’s. We can’t wait until they open a franchise near us.
My first job was at Nardelli's. They made me feel like family then and now 20 years later when I go in for one of their incredible grinders, they still make me feel like family.
Just a quick note to tell you how much I enjoyed my recent two visits to Nardelli’s---One on Plank Road and the other on Watertown Avenue. The choices were too many ( hard to decide )---the food was fresh and delicious, but best of all was the personality exuded by the help. I was particularly impressed that it was equally reflected in both stores. Obviously your training is spot on. I will return.
The people are the friendliness and the Panini sandwiches are the best! I wouldn’t want Grandma to know this…Nardelli’s sauce is just as good as her homemade sauce and I don’t have to cook or wash the pans
Delicious home made Italian food that smells and tastes just like my Nona's! THAT is something very special and tough to find these days!
My favorite thing to do on Saturday’s ( in the 50’s ) was to go with my friends to Nardelli’s downstairs, where my mother worked ( Sylvia G. ) with Freddie and Joe and get a grinder ( a whole loaf of hard crusted bread) a soda and chips. Then we hitched hiked our way back home to Hamilton Ave and ate our grinders on the front porch and listened to the baseball game.
I am grateful to have been part of the history that made Nardelli’s and Waterbury the greatest memories I ever had while growing up.
